Church-based Training in Biblical Studies

The Church-based Training in Biblical Studies course teaches pastors and church ministers Bible principles based on the inductive approach. Supported by TUPS, it is a mobile Bible course that takes two years with each group of students to go through the Old and New Testaments.

C-TBS emphasises the five steps of the inductive approach.

    1. Pray
    2. Read
    3. Observe
    4. Interprete
    5. Apply

The church in Uganda has a large number of church leaders, ministers, and pastors who have no basic training at all. They are pastors in various churches and with zeal to serve the Lord, but can’t attend any sort of training for various reasons, like not being fluent in the English language, not having money or even time to join Bible Schools, not having the qualifications to join Bible Schools, or having bigger families and responsibilities.
The C-TBS takes care of all that and more because it takes the training to the nearby locations where pastors can gather and learn the principles of Bible observation and interpretation in-depth, which turns them into more equipped and better ministers of the Gospel.
